Back to Chicago Law Firm Video FAQs

Transcription

A power of attorney has nothing to do with your death. A power of attorney deals with, you are still living, but unable to take care of your affairs because you’re sick or you’re disabled. Something has occurred where you’re unable to take care of you’re own affairs.

Typically they’re broken out into two major categories. One is for your finances and one if for your healthcare. These powers of attorney empowers on your trust to take of your affairs whether it be financial or healthcare, if you are unable to do so. Again, you’re still living, but unable to take care of yourself.
